This process covers the generation, validation, and distribution of invoices based on the billing cycle or manual request.

Periodic Invoice Generation

Invoices are automatically generated according to the billing cycle configured in the contract.

Contract object must have “Period” and “Period Type” fields to define the billing cycle.

Also contracts have a field named “Next Date To Invoice” to automatically schedule the next billing date, and other field named “Invoiced To Date” to track the last period invoiced.

Wattyo allows the scheduling of batch billing processes.

Ensures that all active contracts are included in the scheduled billing run.

Billing Scheduling

Automated billing processes can be scheduled to generate invoices on specific dates and times.

In Salesforce, this is managed through scheduled tasks in Wattyo Batch.

Invoice Simulation

Wattyo Billing Invoice Simulator provides a way to simulate the invoice generation process before actually generating the invoice.

It allows the user to select the contract to be included in the simulation and period.

The simulation process generates the invoice lines and displays the invoice details to enable visual check.

This tool allow billing users to test new calculation rules, products, prices, and discounts before publishing.
