Wattyo Metering & Consumption module provides the structure to manage control meter readings and usage consumption management functionalities.

So that they can be used by other system functionalities such as invoice calculation, usage statistics, monitoring of deviations or early warnings.

Metering

Metering object is ready to storage the metering information of the different devices and services. The metering is related to the Meter Device and support different type of devices defining different fieldsets to support a different valueset for each.

Metering doesn’t require integration with Wattyo Technical Data Management module Device Object, you can configure to relate directly to your custom meter object.

To gather the metering information storaged in different data structure, the module provide a set of methods to group and filter the meterings to gather the expected data structure and content to be processed or listed.

Meterings registered needs to be validated to be able to use in the calculate consumption process.

Not valid meterings can be edited or adjusted to be marked as valid.

The metering validation process can be launched manually or automatically using the metering validation batch.

Consumption

Consumption object is ready to storage the calculated or directly uploaded consumption information of the different meter devices and services.

The metering module provide several methods to calculate the consumption based on the different data structure of meterings and the configurations.

The consumption data structure enables to configure usage billing rules to use in the invoice calculation process.
